Each year PPSNYS holds its annual conference of Professional Photography. During this conference a print competition is held.

Prints are entered into three categories:

• Portrait
  Typically images where the subject dominates the image.
   
• Candid
  Typically images of a social event.
   
• Illustrative
  Typically images where the scenery dominates the image.
