Davide China
|
|
Monday, April 7, 2008 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
|
|
Davide’s photographic interest started when he purchased a 35mm SLR for $40.00 for the sole purpose of shooting road and drag racing events.
His interest gradually expanded when he realized that there was a lot more out there to photograph besides cars. He joined the local camera club and was introduced to wedding
photography when a local studio came to a meeting to solicit photographers to train. He did very well with that studio becoming one of their
top shooters. At the same time he was employed at a top 25 New York adve rtising agency working in their computer department but spending a lot of his time in the
creative department shooting in house presentations and some ads. He eventually asked the agency for an in house studio and a transfer to creative but was turned down. He resigned and
opened up his own wedding and portrait studio in 1984. Currently he is employed by one of Long Islands top photography studios.
Davide’s career spans 30 years. He has amassed numerous awards and has attended the School of Visual Arts and various schools and workshops.
LOVE PORTRAITS
Davide’s program is meant to inspire photographers to push the envelope a little when it comes to Love Portraits. Though he
says his images “may not be for everyone”, they do provide an alternative to traditional portraiture. Love Portraits bring into play
passion and romance with a sexy overtone. Davide will also share some product ideas that can be sold using images created in his sessions.

This program will present a formula that gives more dollars to schools,
reasonably priced packages to parents and an opportunity for the local photographer to add to their income while bettering their standing in the
community. We will examine a case study where over 130 schools are benefiting from a program that has them netting over $1,000,000.00 in the first 3 years of its inception.
This session is for the photographer just getting started that wants and
needs to generate good, continuous cash flow. If you have an established business it is a great growth opportunity. You will see how
to build and secure your standing in the community through supporting your local schools while making a good living. It also allows you to focus
on what you do best, getting the business and taking the photographs.
The mold has been broken (actually shattered) as to how the undergrad
photography business works. The bar has been raised and new standards are being set when it comes to student photographs and
yearbook programs. Come see what everyone is talking about and see why now is the time for you to become involved."
“I worked with Steve Sherwood at speaking engagements across
the nation for over ten years and I was impressed with his ability to organize a program as well as think on his feet. I watched him
speak to a group of twenty people as a Regional Vice president and also saw him capture a crowd of over one hundred at Columbia University. His magnetism was addictive."
